Model 31C - Raptor Genuine Predator Tool
The Raptor is a Great all around digging tool. With a nice cushion off set handle that keeps your fingers out of the dirt. With the dish shape body on the blade you can move a good amount of soil, At hunt digs this is a must have, and they are super great to have gardening. This is one of the first tools Pam goes for when putting in new plants. Super Strong and made to last for many years. I personally have used this tool from Hunts in Virginia to the beaches of New Jersey They are just plain great to dig with. They are made from Chrome- moly 4130 air craft Quality steel heat treated and then temper to make them super strong. Quality is the word you would use with this tool. Dimensions 14" long weight 16 oz. with a Cadora sheath The blade is 3 1/2" at the widest point and 8" long

I been using one of those for years and wouldn't leave home without it. I think it is indestructible.

that is the absolute best shovel on the market period !!! for general coil hunting, it gets down to 7-10 inches pretty dang quick..

don't use any other....

I use this bad boy to get to that deep stuff, also from Predator tools.

You got that right, Ray. Bryce over on the Minelab forum was raving about it a while back so I decided to give it a try. Nothing against the original style Lesche/Predator which is a fine tool in its own right, but the Raptor is easily the most efficient digging tool I've used.

I don't think George Lesche himself couldn't have described it any better than you did...:poke:

Give my regards to Pam!

good digger but I didnt like it in areas with alot of roots, really hard to work with there.. Prefer the shovel by lesche or their digger that has the red/orange handle cover.

I was thinking that in areas with rocks or roots this may not work so good but in clean areas I bet it would be awesome. May have to try one.

I had a digger years ago that "I believe" was made by George? It looked more like an ice cream scoop with a short curved blade and fat handle. Anything over 3 inches was impossible to reach. But above that it worked great. I don't know where it is now - may have given it to my brother 15 to 20 years ago. Anyone else ever have one?

First I cut some material off the blade sides and sharpened, then I removed the handle end plug and epoxied a 4 " handle extension. Now reaching deep coins even in hard dry ground is no problem. Also makes a nice weapon if needed. With the AT Pro, I have found 2 silver quarters, 2 silver dimes and 22 wheat pennies with it in an area I thought I had cleaned out with my Explorer II & Safari. All of these were 6-10" deep.
