The new Legend from Nokta Makro

I recently got back into detecting after 20 years.

I bought a Simplex which is a good detector at a great price point.

However, I am not interested in digging coins from the park. Mainly because, here in SoCal the coins won't be old. Secondly, I am more interested in searching the California hills in search of the elusive gold nugget. For that I needed a detector with a higher search frequency. So I sold the Simplex and bought the Gold Kruzer. It detects the very small gold nuggets, but it won't work in wet salty sand at the beach where there is a much better chance of finding gold than looking for nuggets.

The new Nokta Makro Ledgend looks like it will be the best of both world I want to detect. It should be available in January.

I will wait for the reviews, but it looks like what I need.

I'm curious also... If its anywhere as good as minelabs fbs detectors, their smf unit should be a major hit.. just hope its must lighter than the old explorer based detectors..

My guess would be its weight will be about what the Simplex is and will be a quality built unit. Performance, though, will be the key to its success...and it does have some competition. HH jim tn

I have a friend who tests the product of Nokta Makro company. Totally agrees with what you're saying. We talk a lot about this because I'm a sea hunter. And he mentioned that Legend will do wonders at salty water. I hope it meets your wishes.
