I recently got back into detecting after 20 years.
I bought a Simplex which is a good detector at a great price point.
However, I am not interested in digging coins from the park. Mainly because, here in SoCal the coins won't be old. Secondly, I am more interested in searching the California hills in search of the elusive gold nugget. For that I needed a detector with a higher search frequency. So I sold the Simplex and bought the Gold Kruzer. It detects the very small gold nuggets, but it won't work in wet salty sand at the beach where there is a much better chance of finding gold than looking for nuggets.
The new Nokta Makro Ledgend looks like it will be the best of both world I want to detect. It should be available in January.
I will wait for the reviews, but it looks like what I need.
