The new F70....a video introduction

Bill Ladd

New member
Here's about a 10 min. video I made on the F70. Nothing real fancy......just running down the features & controls so everyone could take a gander. (sorry the youtube quality kinda blurr's the small words on the LCD). But, it's a real nice detector. Maybe at it's price point, it's much like an F75 and perhaps an excellent alternative for someone who can't afford one....
enjoy,
Bill

Bill thanks for posting the video. As soon as I wrap up this conf call at work, I'll be taking a gander.

What features does the F75 have that the F70 does not ?

Thanks,
Brian

Thanks Bill for the video,

You made up my mind, Was looking at a Garrett but now after viewing your video my next new detector will be the F-70.

Thanks again! P.S. Kidding about the Garrett :)

I know I'm going to forget some.....but the main thing is the F75 has the trigger.
Also the "process numbers" or the modes like PF/ JE, etc.....(I know there's more I'm forgetting maybe someone else can add?)
The F70 has a couple things the F75 does not have, like M. HIlls mentioned.....Threshold in disc mode, and also the "speed" features. "SLow" speed should be good on coins......

Bill any chance your going to put the 70 coil on the 75 and tell us what you think?

thanks bill!..very useful!..looking forward to part #2!

Is the Delta Pitch audio tone like the variable tone sounds on a Minelab Sovereign ?

The ground grab appears to work like the GB on the Coinstrike, the TID # range appears to be similar as well. hmm....lots of features, it's looking like it might be a very nice machine, looking forward to part#2.

Thanks for the info and videos Bill !!

Thanks much Bill. Id like to see a similiar video on the F75, I will check on youtube and see if there is one.

Can you tell me if the numerical display is larger on the F70 or F75 or the same(target ID number size)?

Do both detectors share the same wet salt sand operation? Perform the same?

Any chance this can be had on the F75s rod setup, the pistol grip is a nice setup on that.

Thanks again,
Neil

In fact I wanna try that very thing at the cellar hole site we found........it;s probably not as good at seperation as the DD, but who knows it may be deeper......
But right now I need to finish video testing with the stock coil. I also wanna put the small white coil on the F70 & try that too.......
HH,
Bill

but I can say that "delta pitch" sounds like an explorer kinda. The best way to describe it is each number has its own pitch, & the higher the conductivity or ID #, the higher the pitch. Some people who rely on tones might really like it........but in a trashy site it will sounds like music :) There are many tone options on the F70 which is cool that they didn't scale back from the F75......
I know that intro video is kinda dry & boring........but the fun stuff will be the actual hunt. Youtube only allowed me less than 10 min.....

Bill I went to the dark side and bought a Minelab multifreq Sovereign, and I'm starting to learn the music. To be honest, I like it. It can be a bit much in a trashy sites (you have to go really slow), and it's on the heavy side, but there doesn't seem to be a all-in-one do-everything-great metal detector yet, so if I could have just two, I'd be a happy camper....that's possible right

With an audio based machine you rely a lot less on the TID #'s unless you get an iffy signal and then the display might be helpful. I have dug a few keepers purely based on audio that I probably wouldn't have dug based just on TID. I'm glad to see they give you so many options on the audio, that's awesome ! I believe I see an F70 in my future

I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on how the F70 compares to the Coinstrike ?

Thanks,
Brian

boring? No. In fact, compared to the cussing cumlaude approach, I thought it was great!!!!

Hello everyone,

I have been lurking on the Fisher Findmall Forum for sometime...

I am an avid Bounty Hunter user QDII & Land Ranger...I am excited about First Texas's purchase of Fisher & it looks like good things are happening...I have been following everything I can about the F70 & it looks like 80% of an F75 for 60% of the price...I am near sold on the F70 and I must give Bill Ladd a big THANK YOU for making this video...It has me wanting one even more...

Thanks Bill...Looking forward to Part 2...

Nick

PS - I have seen 2 sites (including sunray) that say the Sunray Invader FX1 inline probe designed for the F75 works with the F70 too...any feed back on this would be greatly appreciated...
