The new Cazador?

Thats the only tough part about announcing a new detector. Everyone holds off buying anyhting else to see what it is and as a result, the current lineup suffers a drop in sales. Much as I love the anticipation, it makes sense that a lot of companies make no announcement until about 30-60 days prior to launch.

Maybe a phone crisis hotline is in order here for the people who are being traumatized by having to wait for the release of the Cazador . Possibly staffed by a few mental health professionals and crisis intervention counselors . It appears some may be in serious need of help during this crisis . My sympathy to all who are currently suffering from this devastating affliction. One suggestion which may help one get thru the rough times is to spray paint your detector a different color and put the name Cazador on the coil and control box .Hang in there folks !!

thanks for making a statement nathan its allways nice to see the company adress its customers on a forum like this for me its much appreciated. im content to wait as when im ready to upgrade i will simply buy the best machine available to me at the time for my needs. i hope the new cazador is ready when that time comes but if its not no big deal.there are alot of good units out there some arnt tesoro some are. i think alot of ppl have too much emotionally invested in this company and i think that ppl should let tesoro run their compay and they should worry about buying machines and metal detecting if they dont have a machine for u, buy something else.

All you impatient people grow up. Tesoro take your time and don't rush it. I'd rather wait for a great product than a rushed job. I'll patiently wait to see what comes out!!!

Okay I got 100 dollars who wants to sell their old out dated Bandido II Umax to me? LOL just kidding!! Guys give Tesoro time you know the old saying ( Good things come to those who can wait) if you can't and you buy something else I hope it works out well for you. Myself I am a very patient man.

hey guys what happened to 53silver i don't see anything new from him ? i am new to tesoro detectors a Garrett user .

to all the impatient people who say " gee, i will buy something else instead of waiting" well, i say go ahead and buy another brand. i'm sure tesoro is not going to go out of business because you could not wait and did buy something else, without the same service and warranty that they have. when that one craps out in two to five years when it is no longer covered. you will be back with tesoro saying "gee, i should have waited"

I'm new to the brand, but I definitely see its appeal. It's like people asking me 'when is the iPhone 6 coming out?' 450 times a day. Not only do I not KNOW, I really don't care.

If Tesoro is a company that maintains quality and integrity, they will take their sweet time.

I WOULD however love to see a machine with Tesoro's old-school sensibilities and design but inject some modern tech like at the very least tone ID. A smooth analog style threshold hunter would be nice too.... BUZZZZZZZZZZZ..... ding ding ding..... but continue to knock out that iron like you do....

Marketing will be in the foremost thinking of Tesoro when they put a new detector out on the market. There isn't really to many ways for them to go as I see it.
They can either find a hole in their existing product line and squeeze a model in that, or
They can expand their line into something more than what their standard models do, or
They could drop a model that's a non mover and slip something back into that slot.

One thing I don't see ANY company doing is to put a new model out that would kill the sales of all of the other current models, that's just not going to happen! Moving on from Tesoro because a person can't wait for some All New And powerful Breed Of Machine doesn't make any sense to me.

Agreed! The empty slot happens to be the multi-tone Golden. Now get the freq. right for us silver hunters and make it a deep seeker.
Whatever it is were waiting for, it's not gonna be anytime soon. Tesoro does not have the engineering staff to pump this thing out quickly. As a matter of fact they have one research and development guy. I'll say that again, one R&D guy, not a staff of them. So nothing is gonna happen quick unless they are farming R&D out. That doesn't mean it's not gonna happen, it's just not gonna be quick.

Soooo, don't get your underwear all in a bundle. Quit threatening to buy another make detector and just be patient and wait!!! I am sure it will be worth the wait. The hope of this new detector is not gonna stop me from buying a Tejon in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime I will continue to dig the good stuff with the Tesoro's I already have!

My Vaquero goes out for its first hunt of the year tomorrow..Friend of mine just bought one of those $700 plus ,change the coil, change the frequency detectors ,by MineLab....Likes it...I'll wait n see what the Caz clocks out to be.. All I want is depth equal to, or slightly better than the Vaquero, two tones, and water proof.

I guess I am missing some thing. Why is everyone so fixated on a machine being waterproof. I had an at pro and never did make it into the water and hunting in the rain SUCKS!

It's not going to be waterproof though guys. I already asked them publicly on their Facebook page and they said no :(
