The MXT was dialed in.

How do I love the little 5.3 eclipse coil on an MXT,,,,,, let me count the ways. Was out detecting Sunday, going slow with the little coil. Got a solid repeatable high tone and dug a beautiful one piece plug. The plug was six inches deep and stayed together perfectly when I lifted it out of the ground. Stuck in the very bottom of the plug I found a tiny disk. Did I just find a trime I thought? Started cleaning it and the shield came through,,,, oh my, something old and foreign I thought. Then I saw the letters MONE and knew exactly what it was,,,,,, play money. A 1955 play money dime to be exact. Still a cool find though. Was especially stoked when I considered just how well the MXT was dialed in on such a tiny target at six inches.

Real dime shown for scale.

I love my MXT, I have almost all the coils that Whites made. I use the 5.6 and the 5x8 butterfly coil the most. I have Fisher detectors, Minelab detectors, have tryed almost all, but the MXT is my go to detector, i love it.
