Nobody's saying the Nox can't make impressive finds. But there definitely are some users who claim it's better than any other detector on the market, which is a bold (and wrong) claim.

Nokta knows this, which is why their presentation today opened with a video featuring one such fan boy. Good on them for saying what a bunch of us were thinking.

I'd be skeptical for awhile and dig almost everything until I had confidence in the Legend. That's just me though, not wanting to miss a target.

USA price thought to be around $645 for the entry package, and $765 for the pro package. Those are not the msrp prices (which are higher).

I just got a price from my dealer...570 for the regular setup and 680 for the pro. Says they should start trickling in 2nd week of December.

I do like they added the Clock but as far a leaking we can't say that won't happen.
And if they are sure it won't leak then why only a 2 year Warranty?

If it doesn't leak why do they need a longer warranty. I own a leakquinox and have never dunked it in fear of it leaking. My Kruzer never leaked. Nokta build quality smokes the Nox all day.

Dan forgive me if this is none of my business but I was wondering why you would want this machine since you have a 3030? OK i know it will be lighter but I have a friend who has both it and the EQ and thats the EQs primary advantage unless your mostly a relic hunter and need to dig everything over lots of ground.

I have a 3030, and that has still been my primary beach machine the last few years. But I have favoured Impact on inland sites due to coil options, concentric coil, and very fast recovery being a few reasons. I also like VCO option for shallow targets. I wanted the Anfibio Multi to replace both, but it was a few inches short on depth on the wet sand. Be interesting to see how the Legend compares against the 3030 on raw depth on wet sand, even if I have to add the 13" coil.

In my opinion, if during testing it was found to be a better performer than a Nox, then you can be 100% confident that's how it would have been marketed during the presentation, but it wasn't.

Dilek said and adapter was necessary to use wired waterproof headphones. Is the Legend line going to have their own waterproof wired headphones, or can say the Simplex ones be used with the adapter?
