Now El dont get him started,he's being quiet. I lost fair and square,if I had found a cache of coins I'd of had to started shedding layers to dig,or at the least I would have needed help.I was nearly too bundled up to move .
We are in for a major storm,I hate to see it come. Every winter I think maybe I should have stayed below the Mason Dixon line .
Terri

So it's true. You dressed to keep warm..and not for detecting !!! Ok now we know the real strory!!! HAHAHAHAHHA LOL

Z- Oh I'm sure there will be lots more "competitions" between us, just for laughs though.I think we make pretty good hunting partners. I'm alittle more familiar with the area & history, but Terri is hands-down better at researching & digging-up info......reminds me too much of school :nerd:

Elton- lol, nope, she lost....plain & simple  I sang "We are the Champions" all the way home that day  This was just one battle in the continuing war though....

All joking aside, we'd had a hunt where the only thing found all day was an 1851 (or '53?) large-cent by Terri. I was tickled to death for her (I went home & cried alone

I've found some "odds & ends", lotsa clad, and a few rings since getting my Ace in August, and I've been real happy in finding what I have, but am really gunning for some old coins, I think I've only found 1 (maybe 2) that were silver. Terri's been at this alot longer than I have, so she's paid more in the ways of "dues".

lol, we've been emailing info back & forth researching sites for spring hunts, and have already come-up with a number of possibillities, plus we still have alot of wintery days unfit for anything but researching. I really feel that we'll find some good spots & make some great finds when spring rolls back-around (just not soon enough).

Smitty

They'd raised to snow possibillities to 17", we got 2.5-3" today, and the bulk is supposed to come overnite, an additional 8-12", so I don't think we're gonna get quite as much as initially predicted. I'd rather have snow than freezing rain, less chance of power outages.....and I didn't want to have to fire-up the generator.

Dont let him kid you guys, Smitty has been a big help with the research and together we have had many good hunts. And we do make a comical team which makes for Great Fun :twodetecting:.

Honestly man are you ever gonna let me live down that large cent ? I felt bad,you picked the site and even drove me there.Im gonna see to it you find one if its the last thing I do :please:.

My best find for the season has been a wonderful hunting partner and friend.

Terri

Smitty..how can you beat a compliment like that one !!!

lol, I can't Elton....Terri's too nice (and a poor judge of character :lmfao:) It was great meeting somene who shares the same interest. I know alot of THers claim they preffer to hunt alone, it wouldn't bother me at all, but there are alot of benefits to having a hunting partner. We share sites & research, we take turns driving.......and I have someone I can rub my finds in their face :clapping: :poke: ......oh, plus she has been keeping me stocked with cinnamon bread.

lol.....and Terri.....I'll NEVER let go about that LC ......lol:starwars:

Smitty

Thats one beautiful picture !!!

That pic will cause me to have nightmares of being trampled......bloody knees and hands.........just as it was the day that coin was unearthed.................

Smitty:rofl:
