That is why the F-75 is the premier detector for civil war bullets and relics.

The F-75 is the best lead detector and can be a great gold detector so keep going as there is gold in that sand.

I sell them back to the fishermen, budget price, for them to lose again and then for me to find again :clapping: keeps you busy when things are slack, and warm too as some of the are real DEEP, i use my F75 for the dry in summer for fast coverage, works ok in the wet too as you have found out

that is why i use it when i know i am not going in the water

ground balance to zero....................set it up like u like it and go................oh..........also set it to F7

fast, swings great, deep, batteries last........omg........FOREVER.

1st year or so i use it on the beach i hunted in all metals, but have now started using discrimination............around 20 +

BEWARE of the 20+, my last gold bracelet was 17 at about 5" tried it again once out as i was surprised, same thing 17, don't even know why i dug it

Excal will smoke it and water proff dont get that f75 wet Kered ,i gotta f75 that i might give away ,funny cant get on thier forums no more ,new ML coming out cant wait 20 inches on a coin

surfline,
20 inches on a coin............will detect a buried coin up to 20 inches deep!!
discrimination.....................set up the detector to discriminate(ignore, not give a tone for) objects that you don't want. for example..foil, pull-tabs, screw-caps.etc.

max,
i wouldn't set my disc for any higher than 17!! most gold rings i have found from the small banded engagement rings to the larger mens rings come in between 20 and 45

1seeker,
i will gladly take your f75 that you are thinkin of giving away!!! would be really cool if that new minelab is "as advertised" and doesn't cost $2000.00 +++

That's a lot of lead from one beach hunt! There has got to be some gold not too far away.

For what it's worth; after testing all the jewelry in the house, there is a high proportion of individual gold pendants and bracelet charms that come in with ID numbers between 16 and 20 on the F75 LTD. The gold ring ID numbers ranged from 23 to 45. The silver chains were in the 16 to 20 range. Gold chains were in the 6 to 16 range, although all the chains tested were small to maybe a medium link size and without pendants.
Cheers,
tvr

Hi Folks; To fseeker: I'm "DYING" for a new detector.Miine just died literally. Please email me. Thanks. I tried to send you a message but it kept saying "Thiss user has been deactivated." I don't know what that means ut anyway I look forward to hearing from you. PEACE:RONB

Well if someone tells you to get the lead out, it might take you sometime LOL. Gulf Hunter told me one time where there is a bunch of lead weights there is a big possiblity of gold, and he was so right. Gene

Can you explain what these numbers mean? Inches? Discrimination?

Thanks,

Surfline

In mine and max's case we were refering to 20 as discrimination upper setting, and the 17 was target ID i got on the gold bracelet.

@ 1seeker your "Excal will smoke it" is only in the water,(obviously) but on the rest of the sand you gota be joking, especially on the dry

kered, thanks for the clarification!!!! as far as the 20 inches on a coin goes, i guess i had that supposed new minelab detector on my mind!
