The big dig first silver with Manticore

Well a golf range was taken by the state for re routing the highway they already have started to bulldoze so I figured no one would say anything and stopped and started detecting in the general mode .
I was getting some penny signals and a few nickels when I had a 79-81 dug up a silver Rosie!
I hit a patch where I was finding wheat Pennie’s and another dime signal another Rosie !
So far I really like this detector a lot not much EMI and loads of power lines two dimes were 1956 and 1946 .

Thanks I was there about a hour lots of change a few wheats I'll be going back its going to be all dug up quickly!

Thanks Ted just nice format layout on the screen and a lot more options in adjustments super stable on the beach just like the 900 but performance wise very similar I’ve only been out twice but it’s definitely a deep detector.
If I could keep my 900 I would have but I can’t justify having 3 detectors lol and I got another friend addicted with his new to him 900!

Back in the 70's we would be sayin......"What's WRONG with that detector??!!!!" for only 2 silvers. LOL Single outing day best ever, was 13 silver coins and I am sure there were some folks that did better than that. Nowadays, the Trifecta has become the Bifecta, and Big Silver has been downgraded from a half dollar or larger to a quarter......sigh. Oh for the Glory Days of yesteryear. I always hoped that I could metal detect in Heaven, but hey, the streets are made of, well you know.......

Thanks yep the streets are paved in gold Im doing more river hunting and its opened up un detected areas one spot has
given up over 100 silver coins 15 halves back to seated oldest silver was a 1721 pistareen!

Nice finds, keep it up. I was just getting to use my Manticore and broke my right wrist so having to hang up the detecting for a while. Just can’t do any digging for about 6 weeks.
