Went to the dentist yesterday morning. If ya hate dentists like I do find one with nitrous oxide gas...sure helps take the pain out of the ordeal. Never had the gas before but sure was worth it - in fact I'll never see a dentist who doesn't offer it. Got three shots into the upper gum - just felt a small jam - not the entire needle feeling like it was going to go into my brain like it used to feel. Got a shot into the roof area of the mouth - I felt that but had I not had the gas I'd probably have passed out from the pain.
As I was sitting in the chair thanking Jesus for being there with me, Sherry was in the waiting room praying. The dentist tried to make a joke to make me smile - guess trying to lighten me up some - didn't work.
When he said there would be pressure when he was getting ready to pull the tooth I just thanked Jesus there is no pressure. The dentist made a move and then the nurse stuck a piece of gauze in my mouth. He was done, the tooth was gone and I didn't know it was out....now that is the way all dentists should be. Not exactly painless...and the cost was lower than I had expected - even with the gas it was $124 - I expected about $200 (thank you Father for saving me money and saving me the pain). With the tooth out the pain was a lot better - had some pain killers so that helped. Worse part was waiting 40 minutes for the clots to form...which took over 3 hours before I could finally get rid of the gauze...just wasn't clotting up real well due to the meds I had been taking for thinning the blood.
Had several bowls of soup last night, some chili and some eggs today. So I am on the mend. Thank you for your prayers - God heard your prayers once again and answered them.
Sherry went in for an upper GI today so she isn't feeling too well from the testing. Hopefully they can figure out what has been the problem for the past 8 weeks or so so that she can get back to a normal life.
She appreciates your prayers.
Again thanks for all the prayers you have said for us - we appreciate them greatly.
