Tesoro Tejon Two Coil Air Test, NEL Sharpshooter WS & Tesoro 10"X12" WS

Well, as far as I know there isn't a local Tesoro dealer, nor a local Fisher dealer, maybe a whites dealer.
Mine is matching up with the results my brother is getting with his Tejon, so I'm doubtful they both are out of adjustment the same. Most likely the difference in your results and mine is what we are calling "Repeatable and Dig-able" I could go out much farther from the coil with each target and still get hits, but not with every pass and sometimes only in one direction so I stopped at what I called repeatable, Dig-able at which I got hits at each pass of the target and in both directions.

Well I get repeatable signals on the dime at roughly 11.5 to 12" so if you and your brother purchased your two detectors at around the same time, it might be the batch they were made in that may be a factory adjustment issue. Mine is model # 200929. How 'bout yours. If you really want to get added depth, I just watched a YouTube video the other day by relics1864 where he's testing his Tejon with a 'non-stock' coil. The video is titled the 'Tesoro Tejon S.E.F. 10X12 nickle airtest depth' video. The coil appears to be detecting a nickel at appx. 18" loud and clear and repeatable I kid you not. It's a really expensive coil; $180.00 +/- but for this kind of depth improvement, it might be worth looking into. That would put our Tejons right up there with the likes of detectors such as the Teknetics T2, F75, some Minelabs, probably (at least) as good as the best that White's can produce, and maybe some of the other foreign detectors like the Nexus Bonanza (almost). Mine is a 'dime killer'. I took it out today and it really honed in on quite a lot of dimes that the last hunters missed in this one park lawn near where I live that has outdoor concerts every summer. I also found the usual quarters, pennies, etc. Remember, there's no such thing as 'hunted out' and when someone says that, they really show their ignorance. So to go back into 'hunted out' places with something like an S.E.F. coil, might open a whole new strata of goodies that most of the other 'mass-marketed' consumer-grade detectors just don't get to. The beauty of a coil like this is that one still wouldn't pay near the $1000.00(+) that it would usually cost but would still get (at least) close to their performance at that.
