Tesoro Stingray coil question ???

I posted this question on the modifications forum but had no replies, so i'm asking it here,

I have a Tesoro Stingray and would like to know if a Umax 9X8 coil can be hardwired in to the Stingray ?

Both the Stingray and 9X8 Umax coil are 10 kHz.

Thanks for any info.
 
I think Tesoro has an adapter that you can use for most of standard coils. But it is not waterproof.
Call Tesoro and ask.
