I got up real early this morning to beat the heat. I arrived at the site around sunrise and started swinging the Outlaw with the 8 inch doughnut coil attached. About the forth or fifth target, I got this full deep sounding mellow soft tone. Yep, that sound put a big smile on my face and got my heart to racing. I dug down around 4 inches or so and unearthed a beautiful 1970 gold class ring. My first thought was it's going to be all down hill for the rest of the day. I detected about another hour and called it a day when the mowers showed up to cut the grass. You can see the settings in the picture. Normally, I can run the Outlaw wide open on the sensitive and not get any chatter, but today I had to back it off some to get it to run quiet and smoothly at this site.
I'm telling you guys this Tesoro Outlaw is the real deal. It's deep, it runs quietly, it's light as feather and has a real pleasing audio tone to listen to.
Also, it hits super hard on gold rings and nickels and does a great job finding deep silver coins even at a high discrimination setting.
