To make a long story short (I hope, lol) I went back to the woods yesterday and split some wood with the tractor & log splitter, time I got done it was time to go to the barn (I am a dairy farmer). After milking I decided to go back with the truck and throw some wood on, I took my little flashlight with me in case something happened & I had to walk home. When I got out of the truck I forgot I had the flashlight on my lap and it went flying out the door. I looked but couldn't find it. I stuck a stick in the general area so I would have an idea of where it might be when I came back to look for it the next morning. It snowed enough last night to lightly cover the ground, I threw my Sidewinder uMax in the truck and away I went, found the stick I put for a marker and within 10 seconds I found my flashlight. Theses little flashlights are sort of expensive so I didn't want to loose it. Thanks Tesoro for making such great detectors!!! Steve.

Below is a picture of a flashlight like mine. It runs off one AAA battery & it isn't very big.

Tesoros are good for more than coins and relics. LOL

Does it have the LED bulb? I love mine.
Yes it does, I have had it along time and although I don't use it very often I can't believe how long the battery lasts in it and how bright it is. Expensive but worth every penny. Steve.

i have a similar light i use for deer hunting.... like walking to and from my stands in the darkness. very bright and the batteries last forever. glad you found yours steve.

Yeah, when they first came out I got one with 3 AAA batteries and it was 2 YEARS before I changed batteries.

If youll remember, I found the magazine spring from my friends shotgun last month. He had lost it while fiddling with the gun in the yard.

Of the two detectors I brought for the search, only the Tesoro Golden really detected it well.
