Tesoro Descrimination

I have a Cibola and a Deleon. both have excellent discrimination, especially on small iron. every now and then a bottle cap, can slaw or a zinc penny will slip past the disc. I don't beleive any Tesoro will disc out a copper penny. I would rather dig zinc pennys than nails any day.

Jim MO says his Tesoro Toltec II will do this(disc out a copper penny) at about 8 1/2 to 8 3/4, and still pick up a silver dime and a silver quarter.

I stand corrected. I wasn't thinking about the older Tesoros. ( I like your avatar David)

littlejohn, if you read my post again it says my silver umax will not pick up a silver coin at full disc, but will start accepting a silver coin just right above the zinc penny setting.
in other words it will not pick up any type of coin at a setting of just above zinc cent. at zinc cent and below it pick the coins up fine.
