Tesoro company stability?

yep get one while you can  yeah I am sure not worried about anything outta my control, but I do pay attention and for me they are different things

recon the last lot of detectors were designed by Jack , nothing new has come out of there sense he retired. and then sadly left us.

so who knows as long as I have what I need

so maybe buy up not worry about buying ??

Does it matter? Look in the bright side----
If they closed, no more Tesoros, they would immediately hit cult status, your used Tejon would be worth 50% more.
New in the Box Tesoro might be a 100% over list price.

And you could be sure there will be someone who worked at the Tesoro service dept would open a repair shop and maybe buy the remaining
inventory..............................................

If in doubt what is happening at Tesoro, better buy a couple of the same units you like now, while you can.
You just have to figure out do you buy the new black ones or do you go out and find the older brown box models, which will be worth more?

Completely agree. Look at the cult status of the Troy detector, and prices!

Thanks for the input guys. I hope the thread does not get deleted. It was an honest thread with my real feelings and I was not bashing the company in any way. I think for some people with limited funds to spend on entertainment options the question is legitimate.

I am just tired of screens. I think I have missed more due to the number not being perfect as well as the tone. With the 2 sites I will be hunting come spring, I need something that removes the temptation of relying on a screen.

The fastest and cheapest way to switch from screen to non-screen is a brown lunch bag!

And select single tone!

I think the interview is 2 years old. I checked him (Nathan Jaeger) on linked in.
thanks for the post,

Last we heard on here from Nathan, was an absolute drunkin sounding, half a meltdown rant. Putting Tesoro up in the same bracket as Sony.Cannot believe he was able to respond to customers in such a way and keep his job. After all, the customers is the only reason why they have a company. They have seemed to have lost that reasoning there. Being able to come online and respond like to the very people who keep you in business, to me, shows no leadership and no respect for the customers.

You can have all the new garbage detectors I tried a lot of them ! but you know what, I gave them all up and went back to a trusty ole Tesoro, they know what works, repair service is equal to none, the machines even now find the goods. And why rant and rave about something that is just here say and rumor . Give Tesoro a break they are still here aren.t they still selling detectors here in good old USA!

Well fellers. I went from an ACE 250 to a Tejon, then an AT Pro. I found the T to be more than I could handle and I had a steep learning curve. I still believe that I have not gotten everything out of the machine yet. I never got rid of it because I found fur trade relics from the late 1700's with it, at crazy depths. Below the plow line situations. I remember a small grouping of three trade knives in particular from a wet small ravine on a field. It was amazing then, and still amazing years later. I have not used the T much in the last couple of years but it is a trusted deep and sensitive machine. I even found rusted iron and small brass trade needles with it at much shallower depths, bird shot etc, along with rings, you name it. The T is still a keeper to me and I am quite pleased to see a new coil (RSD) came out that can be used on it. If the Tejon is dated then it must have been ahead of its time when introduced, as it can still bring home the bacon. It is basicly my dedicated relic machine. But with the new coil I may use it a little more now for those highly mineralized , pounded to death, old coin sites.....Live or die company wise, you can currently get a used Tesoro inexpensively, so I can"t see any great financial destruction from picking up a decent used machine....With all that said, I still prefer my AT Pro for its versatility in day to day use.
