Tesoro Bandido II uMax

I've found 65 nickels in three days with the Tesoro Bandido II uMax. Gold jewelry is on the menu. I'm running zero discrimination.

The Bandido hits super hard on nickels. I just can't believe how hard it hits them. It hitting nickels as hard as it does quarters. Maybe harder!

That tells me that it will do great finding gold jewelry. I've got to do my part and put the coil near some gold jewelry.:detecting:

Day 4 - 12 quarters, 22 dimes, 14 nickels & 14 pennies. That's a grand total of 72 quarters, 74 dimes, 79 nickels, 83 pennies and 1 silver ring in 4 days.

I used the same settings for all 4 days.

I just can't get over how many nickels I'm finding with the Tesoro Bandido II uMax. Its hitting them super hard. I really like this detector a lot!:)

How would you compare it to the Vaquero? Does it work as well as the Vaquero on small god? How about depth?

The Bandido with the 8 inch coil gets a little less when air testing compared to the Vaquero with the 9 x 8 coil, but not by much. Maybe an inch or so.

I haven't done any small gold jewelry testing to compare the two.

I'd like to pair the Bandido II uMax with a Cleansweep coil. I bet I would rack up on nickels with it. It should also improve my chances of finding gold jewelry.

I told you that the Tesoro Bandido uMax loves nickels. I found this very old Indian Head Nickel on a modern soccer field today of all places and only about 3 inches deep. You just never know what you might find and where. I just moved the discrimination setting from zero to "4", because I was digging just way too many foil sports drink caps. The Bandido hits really super hard on nickels. This is my very first Indian Head Nickel find.:)
