Terra-70

Hey guys I live in SW Michigan right on the lakes shore , I had a Whites classic 3 plus because we have a lot of beach goers and festivals and etc.I used it for coin shooting only and it is a good machine for that but now I want to upgrade my machine and my skills. I have read a lot and have decided on a Terra-70 and was wondering where I can get a decent deal on one. I also have railroad tracks near as I am sure most do but I was thinking of following them and relic hunting, good idea? Someone had to put them there.Just a thought.

I just pm you with some info... Hope he helps...Evan

MineLab keeps a tight reign on the prices that their machines are sold at.
The best deals I have seen so far is at Kelly Co but if you don't mind spending
a couple extra dollars, use a local dealer. The little guy doesn't stand much
chance against these bigger companies. Just depends on how bad your wallet\
is hurting I guess.

Gerry is great to deal with and his training is tops. He gave me a lot of info, tips, sent me videos to watch, answered all me questions (both intelligent and not so), talked to me on the phone, shipped it to me right away, and offered me a very fair deal. I have purchsed two detectors from him and will purchase all my future ones from him as well.

you at least gave the sponsoring dealers of this forum an opportunity to sell you the new Minelab detector. Without their sponsorship, we wouldn't have this forum to discuss and learn more about the X-Terra. You can browse the different forums and find the sponsoring dealers listed at the top of each. JMHO HH Randy

Look at the AMDS ad on the top of this page, you wont be dissappointed.

I think it would be a nice gesture if......our post's stayed up:clapping:

If you live near Orlando, Kellyco would be your local dealer and you would get all the training and the lowest price available. And if one is mail order the 800-898-6673 # is always available, plus you get the FREE Instructional DVDs, that most manufacturer's supply, come with detectors nowadays.

to the dealers who help sponsor FindMall forums. You can send a PM to anyone you want, telling them your preference as to who you chose to purchase your detecors from. But don't expect to come on to this forum and belittle a sponsoring dealer without being held accountable. This X-Terra forum is paid for by sponsors. And thanks to thousands of great posts made by hundreds of respectful members, it has been running very smoothly for 30 months now. That is 28 months longer than you have been a guest. We have very few rules here. And you broke two of them in one series of posts. I trust this answers your question??? If not, PM me or the Guvner. HH Randy

:surrender: Sorry you guys for breaking the rules, Findmall is tops and thankyou Kelly co for the forum sponsor. I agree with Digger, I shouldn't have wrote that. With out this forum I would have not gotten the info that I have needed...several times over...Evan GH

I have indeed ordered my Xterra-70 from a sponsor and want to say thank you to all for the great information. I hope I didn't upset anyone that was not my intent, I just wanted a good price on a great machine Thank you

at least not one so huge we couldn't work it out. Congrats on your purchase. Let us know how it works out for you. HH Randy

Gerry is a very pleasant and knowledgeable gentleman!!

Tom, I realize Gerry is a sponsoring dealer for FindMall. I've made purchases from Gerry and agree that he is top notch. But those positive comments are not why the post(s) were removed. They were removed because of negative comments about a transaction with another sponsoring dealer (which happened a couple years ago). I don't have a problem if someone wants to recommend their "dealer of choice" to others. FindMall offers a Feedback forum specifically for that. But when individuals express their opinions, regardless of whether it is here or on the Feedback forum, we must realize it is only one side of the story. Most dealers recognize that "arguing the point" on an open forum is a no-win situation. To avoid that situation, I choose to remove those type of posts. Otherwise, this forum will turn into another one of those places where no one likes to visit. And frankly, there are already too many of those.

The rules here are pretty simple.......The X-Terra forum is a place to share information and ideas about the X-Terra lineup. I believe that expressing discontent with another sponsoring dealer could be better handled via the Feedback forum, PM or emails.

I hope this answers your question as to why the posts were removed. HH Randy

For you guys getting on that guy in the post about Kellyco......... Saying that you don't want to spend about $100.00 extra makes you a bad guy here if you go with Kellyco instead of a sponsor of the forum?
I just want to get it straight. Hey, I'd love to buy local, but $100. is $100.!
I'll read 'till my heart's content on how to use a detector and learn myself before paying $100. more for something that I can buy cheaper elsewhere.

You point me to a place where I can buy an X70 for the same price as Kellyco which offers me the same items for $700. shipped

I don't mean any harm here, and I may be seeing this wrong, but I'll go for the lower price anytime. Blame Gas and the Internet!

The posts that were removed contained what I considered to be negative comments about ONE of the FindMall sponsoring dealers. The post also contained some positive remarks about ANOTHER FindMall sponsoring dealer. I did not remove the post due to the positive remarks. I removed them due to the negative remarks. I suppose I could have gone into those posts and simply editted out the negative part. But I don't believe a moderator should "rearrange" someone else's thought process. So, I deleted them.

In the future, I would prefer that personal comments about specific dealers, especially those that are negative, be left on FindMall's Feedback forum. And, let's keep this X-Terra forum reserved for discussing the X-Terra.

As to where to purchase an X-Terra...... my original point was that it would be nice if folks would consider buying them from a sponsoring dealer. Afterall, they are the ones that allow us to have this forum. As far as I know (I'm not on the payroll) FindMall does not offer an index of all the sponsors who sell Minelab X-Terras. However, at the top of each forum, and at the top of each post, you will find various dealers who help sponsor this forum. If you have a local dealer, maybe they are one of these sponsors. I live in a part of the Country where there are no Minelab dealers for 100 miles. And I would have to drive several hundred miles to find one who sponsors here. As such, I make my purchases either online or via a telephone call. And I always give one or more of the sponsoring dealers the opportunity to earn my business. For the record, I've done business with both of those mentioned in the posts that were removed. And I will do more business with both in the future.

My suggestions ....if you are in the market for a new detector or accessories, check the forums for sponsoring Minelab dealers. If you are unfamiliar with some of them, check the Feedback forum for testimonials. Contact those you may want to do business with and make your decision based on the criteria you feel is important. After you get your new Minelab, enjoy the hobby!

Oh, after you get your new equipment, post your thoughts about the buying experience on the FindMall Feedback forum. And feel free to post your questions, suggestions and finds right here on the X-Terra forum.

Thanks for listening. HH Randy
