Tell me why..I traded a perfectly good machine in and ordered an AT Pro....

I would like to hear the good things please..

Average depth,
Quality of build
Iron ingnore abilities

Thanks Guys appreciate it..

I did not trade but I did buy the At Pro and still have my Grand Master Hunter.

Some of the reasons:
Much lighter
Multiple tones
Much faster recovery and separation.
I could go on but those are the biggies for me.

Average depth no above average :p
Quality of build good could be made alot better for a few bucks more.
Iron ignore well not sure I listen to it all in pro mode.

It is everything I wanted and more. I could not be more pleased with how the machine runs in the field..

It's my first machine so I didn't trade in anything....It's paid for itself in clad in 3 months, and I don't have to put a rain coat on it when I go out and take a stroll in the rain, and its simple to operate. In summary as a coinshooter, I 'm happier than a hawg in slop with my AT PRO.

Elton you were looking for the optimum detector and you may have found it .

Or........... I got this sudden urge to try something else LOL

Is it pretty solid a machine, and fairly stable ?? I am just curious as it seems a lot of the posts address issues rather than using the AtPro

I do not worry about the 'issues' because I know Garrett will take care of any that come up. To answer your question, Yes I do like the At Pro. It is a big upgrade for me.

1) It has the standard mode, similar to an ACE 250 and is great for beginners, coin & jewellery hunting yet is deep and sensitive to gold.

2) It has the PRO mode, which is one of the deepest metal detectors (single frequency) available today. It meets and beats some detectors costing 3 x as much and was designed to find deep relics, yet with the 15kHz operating frequency, remains very sensitive to gold targets.

3) It is also water proof to 10 feet, so a quick accidental drop in the water or sudden rain will still keep you in the game. And, as a water machine, opens up a new style of detecting and territory in case you were ever interested without buying another water machine.

4) It's made in USA and costs less then half the price of some of the most expensive single frequency metal detectors which are restricted to land hunting only on non-rainy days.

Sudden?............you have had this urge for as long as I've known you Elton,............

Good enough John.I'll give her a shot.

I did..........He told me all his hours were booked by you..so It was a long wait.. :drinking::rofl: LOL.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh Come on Larry ..Let me think it was sudden and not destined.. (Is that a word LOL.. hahhahahahah..

Maybe next week I'll get a sudden urge to trade it :garrett::thumbup:
