MrBranton33 is absolutely correct. The Teknetics T2 SE will make the e-trac look really bad in iron infested area. T2 SE has way faster recovery and probably deeper but won't ID as good as the E-trac.

Teknetics t2 vs. omega vs. E-trac

I have 2 E-Tracs and just got newer version T2. I believe the T2 will find pretty much as much as the E-Trac will, BUT I have a much easier time using the 2 sets of VDi #'s of the Etrac to distinguish junk. I am mostly a coin hunter. I mostly got the T2 for visitors. The E-Trac can be intimidating. I picked up one of mine used for $700. E-Trac is definitely the better machine.
