George I believe it's around 1500.oo. But If you hunt in the water I am not sure if it was meant to be a underwater machine. Maybe someone can chime in on that..
I am wanting to upgrade from my beginner level detector. I strongly think the MDT 8K or Deeptech Vista series is the direction that I want to go. However, I like to go to the beach three or four times a year so salt/mineralization does become an issue during those visits. Any advice you may have regarding the above named detectors would be greatly appreciated. I am resistant to buying any new technology digital detector where they offer updated software. My regards, S.There are no upgrades for the MDT 8000 that I’m aware of. I do know that a lot of us who have had one are just learning how to use the Salinity Balance to overcome mid to high mineralization and salt. Oh, and hot rocks! I know it may not be of much interest on this forum, however I will be posting another head to head video in my test garden w the MDT 8k & EQX.
Sorry, I sold my CTX last year, had one since 12’ great machine! Found my oldest coin w it, 1843 Large Cent.
