Tarsacci mdt-8000 could be extractor detector in mineral.

I have one. Interesting detector. Like to see Ole California (Paul) try one out in his area.

Digital is the guy who designed the Coinstrike, Goldstrike, Excel and Edge. Sadly, none of them were a success in the marketplace - they all had “‘peculiarities” which made them operate differently than the machines folks were used to.

Hopefully he has had some new ideas which will make this one a success.

The ID Edge and Excel were excellent detectors, nothing different or complex about them.
They didn't even get a chance at being on the market long. Is was a time when FT bought Fisher and deemed the Coinstrike, Edge, Excel were not platforms that were in line what FT wanted. So they were ditched. I had 3 ID Edge units with multiple coils. Liked them. Keith Southern liked both, many others have had them and enjoyed them. Had the CS for a bit, just called bottle caps and pull tabs coins too many times. Had I kept it longer and learned to use and adjust it properly, may have kept it longer.

I bought a new Tarsacci 8000 and used it on a hill with a lot of mineralized pockets of soil. It didn't work out for me and I really tried to make it work. It saw the mineral deposit as a target. Unusable for me. It may work great for some one else but not for me. Sold it.

Just wanted to add, I will never buy another detector from them ever again. When I told them about my problems with it and mineralized ground, they never talked to me again. It's like I was on a deserted island. Never ever again for me. You can buy a Tarsacci if you want, but never again will I do it.

Obviously not every detector is for everyone. From what I am seeing and hearing the Taracci is beginning to get noticed for its depth in some highly mineralized ground. It apparently has a learning curve, but seemingly once dialed in it is pretty impressive. HH jim tn

You can think that if you want to, but I know better. I have used one and I been detecting off and on since 1995. Spend a lot more time at it since I retired. I'll never buy anything from them again. Ever

I keep hearing so many good things about this detector, for me still use my Coinstrike I have 2 of them with the full set of coils for each. The reason is the machine works and ive made some incredible finds with it ..this is a few days ago with the 10" coil. HH

My machine does very well in mineralized ground. The black sand and salt options helps ignore the hot rocks and ground.

With that being said, that's a bummer that the owner didn't stay connected with you. Being in touch with the developer/owner is probably very rare but this machine doesn't have the same support as a minelab or fisher.

Hopefully you sold your machine and got something you like better.
