Talking about analogs......

Sven, with the price aluminun is bringing today, I wish I had kept those buckets of pulltabs. I still save all the copper and brass though. Steve

i have a C&G Wildcat. neat old unit, takes 12 AA's but they last. The unique feature is the stacked coil, it does not read on the top, so you can run it under a ladder at a tot lot. good solid manual machine, vlf/tr, with a meter. it has a few dings, but the previous owner really mopped up with it, God rest his soul. anyone want to trade for a little lightweight loaner machine? i am game and honest, just cant own a bunch at one time, so own a lot a few at a time. i want a simple Compass or another simple tesoro, my favs, but am open to anything just want a change.

...thought I would throw in a plug for my website http://www.treasurelinx.com
which has a huge selection of free down loadable metal detector catalogs of all major brands and smaller companies.
Take a look at what you missed using back then or it's a great website to find out about those older detectors
you see up for sale that might interest you.

I appreciate all the help I rec'd procuring the catalogs....thanks...you know who you are.....

Sven,
You have a really great site and I look at it often as it brings back the " good old days". Thank you for all your work and effort in setting it up. Steve

:clapping:I have been using a unmodified Whites 6000D Series 2 Hipmount that a former Factory rep gave to me in 1983. It's a killer on coins above 6". This was the last real analog type White's made. I'm still using it after 28 yrs. The hipmount version is made hipmount......not a conversion kit as for hipmounts later.

It's a keeper

I have the Garrett Master Hunter 7 ADS and also the Grand Master Hunter.
I sent the Grand Master Hunter in to Garrett about a year ago and they went through it and pretty much restored it to new like condition. The Master Hunter 7 works, but I am planning on sending it in also. They are great machines.

I have a Bounty Hunter Bud Select 220 that I have been using, its a nice analog metered detector. Not sure how long I will have though as it is for sale.
