T2 Sale.... ended reserve not met!

I appreciate your doing the tests for me!

Tom

You can't like your T2!!! I like mine and we're polar opposites! Remember?   Just kidding you... :D You're right though... it's extremely sensitive to small objects and will hit small objects pretty deep. I also like my T2 in iron... it's quick reset, ability to go through iron and not false constantly is great.

do great. BUT, the depth of the T2 at sensitivity of the high 70's to lower 80's will still hit targets 12" deep.

Gee how can that be? we all know all the high powered detectors false in iron. Just kidding Bill.

So are the ads for the T2 true, they are quieter around iron than most?

Tom

Tom,

Yes, it runs pretty quiet in iron. I like it in iron. There are a few issues in some of the places I hunt. But, overall if I was looking to relic hunt and was digging everything above iron... the T2 is excellent and very sensitive to very small objects that most machines won't give a peep on... :)

and every time I thought I have found it all, I would cover up the hole and sweep the T2 over it and the T2 would hit on another link. I wound up re-diggin that hole about 3-4 times before I recovered every last link of the bracelet. I put it back together and it looks to be in great condition.

I can't really speak on the iron issue, I haven't used it around any real iron ridden places. But it sure is hot on small targets and deep to.

Hey Jeff. I wish I did have a T2. Lot's of treasure waiting for me out there. :0)

I am tight on funds and had a deal where I was trading an old 22 rifle for a used T2 and due to the shipping problems the guy with the T2 changed his mind after the T2 was shipped to me so I sent it back. I'll just have to be patient and hope no one goes and gets my treasure before I get there. LOL.

Thanks for the reply Bill, I accept some iron when hunting the older sites. The reason I like detectors such as the Fisher Edge is the ability you have of adjusting the amount of iron you want to hear with clean rejection of the rest.

The only thing stopping me from trying the T2 at this point is that I am still not totally convinced about the higher frequency it operates at being good at seeing coins in iron. My experience with other detectors that operate in the range of the T2 has not been good for that task.

Tom

You can adjust the level of iron on the T2. I have used the T2 in a few places that have higher levels of iron and it's done very well. The only disappointing thing was I didn't get to use it in one of my favorite pounded sites. The grass was too tall... :( The long grass kind of snuck up on me. I would have been very curious to see what it was able to pull out of there as I covered that site extensively because I've dug LCs and early silver out of there. It's a good machine but it's not my first pick for park hunting... but I would rate it very well in my limited experience in a dig all above iron site as it is very sensitive to the small items.

I should also make mention that it picks up interference quite easily... I have a couple of sites that the T2 just gets unstable really bad in specific area.... no obvious reason or source... until I push the sensitivity down a good bit. None of my other machines (including the C$) ever had an issue in these areas.
