T2 "...just another Bounty Hunter..."

In all fairness, I don't think the review was truly "nasty". It was one man's honest interpretation of what he thought. The only passing grade the initial poster gave the T2 was in relic hunting, I think. At any rate, I have read ten times as many positive reviews as negative, so I'm looking forward to giving it a shot.

Sadly, UPS came by yesterday and I wasn't here!

Well, got a chance to take 'er out yesterday. Man, what a cool machine! I had only a few minutes to hunt because the police were ALL OVER the park due to the fact that it's across the street from a high school and I think they were there to chase any walk-out protesters (of the amnesty bill, of course) back to campus. My digging tool looks enough like a buck knife from a few yards away that I didn't want to stick out too much. Ended the 30 minute hunt with two clad dimes & three copper pennies in addition to a couple of caps. I really learned a lot in that short time. I cannot believe the seperation I was getting! I was also getting signals up to 16" deep (not sure they were really that deep, because I wasn't equiped to dig that far down yesterday). It didn't make me rich, but it was a hell of a lot of fun to use. Can't wait to get more time in.

Only drawback was my fault, I guess... I KNOW about the trigger nut problem and checked it before hunting... nice & firm. Checked it again after 10 minutes of hunting... GONE!!! Anyone know the size of that sucker so I can pick up another one AND a tube of thread-lock?

You should be able to get thread lock at any hardware or auto parts store..as for the nut I would suggest going to an electronics parts shop and just try to find one.
