Ive posted this on other forums and I'll do it here to.
I have a TRex 9.5 and a Stealth 920ix
After 5 months of about 20 hrs a week with the TRex it busted right down the welds, Fair enough... Although I am only a wet and dry sand hunter (no rocks) I thought that this beefy thing would hold up much better than it did. It didn't.
That isn't the topper, The topper is when I called the number on the website and talked about repair/warranty.... "You're the 1st person to have ever busted one. What were you doing?" Basically I abused it. I was a liar. etc.... BUT if I send it back to Florida on my dime, they will send it to their welder place in Pennsylvania to DETERMINE if it was a R&D issue. If so they will reweld it and send it to me (on my dime).. It would of taken about 3 wks turn around time...
SCREW THAT!!!
I took it down the street. Paid a welder 25.00 and that was that. It's since re-broke in a different spot. What a POS.... And the customer service is worse.
I have since bought a Stealth 920ix and LOVE IT! Cuts in the sand like a hot knife on butter. Lightweight and very VERY comfortable on your foot if you buy the foot pad for it...I also got the CF shaft... Night to day with the two scoops.
WARRANTY from what I hear is amazing with these guys... I'm MUCH happier.
Heres a few pics of my experience with TRex. The welds are structurally a joke. They look nice but they tore like a folded piece of paper.
