SunSpot Stealth Water Scoop Too Heavy to Carry?

modified..........with a handle mount bracket welded to the top.

The perfect scoop basket I envisioned........................ Chuck must have read my mind.
I will have to get one myself after I sell my Stealth....................
Beware there's a lot of junk scoops on the market, can't go wrong with a Sunspot scoop.

I've got 4 scoops and they're all different. The bend over plastic sand scoop is tough on the arm and back. The cheap ebay knee high kick out sand digger is quick, easy, light and okay in the dry sand. RTG 5" aluminum works really great in the surf. Huge old steel scoop 7" open design with both drilled hole sides and wire back digs like a champ, but it doesn't recover well for some reason. At the end of the day, the brand new RTG is the best overall.

Three RTG's, 5x9" SS, 6x9" Aluminum, 6x9" SS and one Diamond Head SS, they each have their place depending on the site I hunt. Good hunting to all. John

Just my opinion, it is too heavy for wet sand or dry sand. It is OK in the water if it had an angled handle. I sold mine due to the 90 degree handle. No good for deep water hunting. If you buy a stainless scoop be sure it has an angled handle otherwise your face will be in the water trying to set the scoop. Important. If you are a wet sand hunter like me, aluminum with stainless lip is the way to go. RTG.

Thanks for the tip!!
