Sunday hunt = Wheaties and First Silver of 2012

Sorry I haven't been on here in awhile, but things have been busy with work and family life, but that doesn't mean I haven't been looorking at all the great finds you guys have been making.

Got out Sunday with detecting buddy for a local hunt.

We decided upon a lot that we have been hunting and where they are going to break ground and put a Brick and Mortar store on it. Figured we'd better hit it before it gets lost forever.

At first the going was slow, as there is a bunch of trash buried about the area. Pulled some clad and then I seen what appeared to be an old parking area, as this spot was residential many years ago. First signal off the get go I was expecting a dime and within the first shovel full of dirt the Barber was hiding within a clod. Pulled a few other pieces of clad within that area as well as some rusty crusty junk and then the 2 Wheaties.

Hope everyone had a chance to get out and do some digging, as it sure was a perfect day for it.

Thanks for looking
DJH

Very nice barber. I cannot believe how nice the weather was (at least for me) this winter. I got out almost every weekend. The silver has been slow so far this year, but I have dug some interesting relics. Even got a chance to hit the beach in Duck NC with a buddy of mine. Not much to talk about from the beach hunt, to sanded in. I've got a feeling that 2012 is going to be a good year and look forward to seeing everyone's finds.

WTG DJH! Great way to start out the year. Hopefully a sign of good things for you for your 2012 detecting season.

Very nice !
