However, they need to have the chance to exercise.. If you can take them to have that run, or play time, then it is great. If they are cooped up all day, they your furniture will suffer. Jerks are a high energy dog. We are fortunate that we have the acreage and mice for them to chase and run some of that energy off.

The payment is unrequited love and that has no price and to us, is worth every moment we spend caring for them. Ours do not bark when left alone... but when a visitor come, they let us know. When we had cats, there was no problem between them. If you are really serious, PM me and I will give you the name of a brreder down your way [where we got our new pup]. She often gets rescue dogs that need homes.
