strange VDI numbers yesterday

still thinking about the park we hit yesterday...I was pulling clad dimes that were hitting 12-43 (44) and memorials that were 12-45(46) ????
the wheats were coming in low at 12-36-12-38 and zincs were also in that range
a couple times while Eva and I were close I got a high tone that registered a 12-45(46) she was getting different numbers on the same target???? both E-tracs with stock coils, do the settings or programs you run vary the FE/CO numbers that much machine to machine? this park is only a few miles either way from where I have been hunting, and my numbers were always consistant until yesterday. wheats would be 12-44, dimes would be 12-45, Quarters would be 12-46. soil conditions there?
also I have been running in auto +3 since I started...how do I determine what manual setting I can be at so I can hit deeper targets?

sorry about all the questions but this has been eating at me all day

The numbers may have been affected by interference if you were running the machines in close proximity to each other.

fast on or off, deep on or off, trash settings and ground settings can also affect target response....

I've been getting copper memorials lately that read as high as 12-48!!! and there was nothing else in the hole... wierd

I am running Goes4evers settings...
sensitivity auto +3
threshold limit just barely audible
volume limit 29
volume gain 29
response normal
tone id multi
sounds conductive
variability 29
limits 29
threshold pitch 28-29 makes silver scream out
deep off
fast on
trash high
ground difficult

MD's were not held close while scanning targets.

If the target is on it's side it will read higher than the normal too. Also if you are not over the top of the target it will read higher too. I hope this helps. Wait until you dig silver in the penny range 12-38.

True most of the time you will find your not over the target 100%, The Etrac is the only Detector, "I mean the only detector" with an ID at Depth. What does that mean for you and I. Well, close to positive of whites old advertisement "See what's in the ground before you dig". Ground conditions will improve or take away from this too.
