High surf advisory....sooo...i went to the beach...50 feet of sand was gone...and it was negative low tide...raining cats and dogs....withing in ten minutes i hit a couple wheaties...then a 10k gold ring...with a big red mystery stone, ring marked 10k B&F...Real or junk....? You tell me...?

Just a guess here but I would think that a valuable stone would be in higher karat gold. Still, I would be thrilled to find a beautiful ring like that! HH!

Take it to a jeweler just to be sure...some rubies can be worth more than diamonds. You're probably right about the carat class vs. stone quality but, you could easily sell that for far more than melt.

Elegant looking ring... I suspect the stone is Red Garnet.

My computer store is next to a pawn shop and I see gold all day. In the summer I find it almost every day. So my guess was kind of educated!!

So per the caculations on this site minus the 2% ARA takes if you send it there you get $61.88

Not a bad day detecting at all!!!!
