Just be sure to take your regular coil, larger coil and the sniper coil with you every time. Sometimes I get lazy and just grab the detector and go out only to find that I could have either used the larger or the sniper and didn't have it with me. I just started leaving the 2 extra coils in my car along with a variety of digging tools. That way, I always have the right tool or coil. Don't forget snacks and drinks. Nothing worse than being in an area with good finds and getting the shakes cause your hungry or wanting something to drink. If your out and away from everyone, don't forget the toilet paper. The jobs not finished till the paperwork is done.

Best Regards, John K
Consider having two detectors. Thats what I normally do - take two.

I have a 6" coil on my X70, I hate it. What I do now is hunt the area with an ACE 250 or MXT with the large coil then I go back and do the places near metal etc with the small coil X70 if I feel there might be something there. (I have some very thorough competition when it comes to totlots lol) My really trashy areas are snow dumps and they are too trashy for any size coil. Maybe a 3x5DD might give you an edge but otherwise for me it is not worth it. If you have limited time to hunt an area forget it unless it is only accessible with a small coil, just my opinion.
