Is the ground frozen in Springfield Mo, I will be in Springfield Friday Febuary 22 and wanted to do some detecting. Ground is still frozen up here in Iowa.

I doubt it. I live in central mo and the ground is not frozen here. Springfield is farther south so you should be good to go.

Same here near KC. I hunted down there is SW Missouri about 10 days ago and there was no problem. Used to live in Springfield. Nice town to hunt in. Surrounding area is even better if you are into relics.

Was out today and yesterday near the Missouri Arkansas line and there was no problem Some of the north facing hill sides may be a little frozen if it gets very cold on the previous night

Yeah, ended up pulling off the road in St. Louis, Mother nature killed my plans of detecting.
