Came home after a hunt after work today. My wife Deb had been putting peanuts out for the blue jays and squirrels all afternoon. I got out the camera, and got a few shots in. Bandit, the blue jay (has a band around his foot)has been our local guest for about 5 years. Chippy the squirrel is new, as the other squirrel got run over. And.....nice to see a robin back in Edmonton. Surely a good sign of spring, even though there are still a few patches of snow around.

All these I got today. I believe the one on the right is stainless steel and the one on the left is chrome plate over steel.

Nice finds John, By the way... I love those blue jays. Why does it have a band? Maybe it was tame before? I had several european jays before, very tame and could mimic everything. See a internet picture of one of them.

Nice hunt!:detecting:Nice pics!:clapping:Congrats on the rings!:cheers:Thanks for sharing!:biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)

Five years for a Bluejay?! That is amazing. Maybe there is a banding program in the region and "he" is more then one?...
Nice finds and great persistence.

I like them. Light enough yet still more comfortable then those large Garrett headphones that come with the GTI detectors. These are buit TOUGH!
