Spent most of theday at the hospital Having my angiogram and the results weren't pretty....

Need a major, dangerous, operation that will put me in the snakepit for six days, one day in ICU, plus a week or more recovery, whereas they will not only do a bypass on my leg but open my guts up and do an artery graft on my intestinal arteries which are calcified. It ain't pretty. I may see if we can do one at a time instead of all at once. All at once is a helluva lot to unload on and old beeper swinger. Sure tore my wife up when I unloaded the news on her. Didn't set to damned well with me either.

These angiograms suck also. I had more needles shoved in me than in a pin cushion today Got a hole in my femoral artery that I have to watch closely for a day or two. They couldn't fix my problem with a stent or a balloon but then I anticipated that. I always have to do things the hard way. Ain't looking forward to any of it. I thouroughly hated the better part of the day I spent their today, especially with nothing to eat or drink since midnite the night before. I was hungry enough to eat a chair.

Sorry to hear about your health problems. It's terrible getting old, but the alternatives aren't too good either. Hope all goes well and you can get back to "swingin".

Me to also bud. It ain't always the old that get this crap. I was working alongside a 19 year old kid some years ago who hit the floor like a ton of bricks with a full blown heart attack. Danged near killed him but youth was in his favor and he scraped by. I've just been to hard on my body. .

Dang, doesn't sound like fun. The intestinal part almost sounds
worse than the bypass. These days, the bypasses are pretty run-o-the mill
and you shouldn't really have any problem there.
I don't know about splitting it up.. Maybe.. But to me, I'd almost
just as soon get it all over with in one shot if they felt it was not
risky. Hope it all goes well for you.
