SPECTRA V3i VDI NUMBER RANGES AND V RATED SEF COILS

I have just purchased a Spectra v3i and love it! Asolutely love it. What I would like to know is.... if anyone has produced or noted down the VDI ranges as well depth in inches for multiple items that they want to locate. A "cheat sheet" as it were! I do have one that is for the DFX which should be close but would appreciate it if I could use this as a guide for the Spectra. Any help apreciated! Also anyone have the "NEW" SEF coils for the Spectra that are V rated that they might want to let us know how they like them. These are the new white coils! Thanks Toni....

The DFX sheet will work.

The SEF is not V rated. Read this post.

Use the search feature to check for posts on this forum. It will be a big help. ROB

This thread should bring you up to date on the SEF Ray. http://www.findmall.com/read.php?66,1589398

VDI Normalization Chart

http://neilinwestjersey.webs.com/apps/documents/?&page=2

This has a comprehensive list of common US targets and their VDI numbers in all frequency modes, both normalized and raw.

I have to wonder if any other manufacturer will be capable of building a "true" V rated coil.....
PS Thanks for the update on the coils Larry  I don't get much time to cruise the other forums any more.

As far as I am concerned, if it is tuned to work with all three frequencies, it is V rated. After all, isn't Vaseline just another name for petroleum jelly? It may not be Vaseline, but it is exactly the same.

We are all nit picking and the bottom line is...... It doesn't matter. V rated is to V compatible what Vaseline is to petroleum jelly and Kleenex is to facial tissue. The SEF coils work and I think the better nulled ones work just about the same as the older ones. If you want a White one, fine.

Where is the "Like" button?

Thanks to all for your help! I received the info and will test as I go! hey I appreciate all the posts and replies! This is a great forum! Also you guys out there please shoot some vid's with the Spectra V3i as there are not to many out there!

you can not believe all you read on the web.Even from a trusted detecting site over the pond.It was stated that the new white SEF coils were in fact "V Rated' and I took them at their word.
I am like you in the respect that if it works good and gets the results I want it is good enough for me no matter what the tag says :detecting:

Welcome to the Forum Toni. Many of us are curious about these new coils. Will be nice to hear how they function and if we can get any more performance/depth out of them.

I have created a few educational V3i videos. Check them out on Youtube. My handle there is earthmansurfer69. Watch the "How to set up the V3i" first.

Good luck,
Albert

Thank you all so very much for all of your hard work with charts and videos to assist us with the Spectra V3i settings and VDI's. I admire your drive and determination!
