Spectra Stand

Thought you might like to see a stand that my m8 came up with, genius in design, requires no drilling or altering the machine in any way, very stable
and the 'u' stand can be very simply removed for transportation.

I think he should patent this idea, which is why the crucial connection part of the photo is not visible.

I don't think there is a better stand out there................

I have a couple of plastic ones made by a gentleman that manufactures them out of pvc. He sells them on e-bay. Then clip onto the shaft and work great. I would be afraid the one you show would hit my leg as I swung it. The ones I have can be clipped on in front of the control box and are out of the way. Can yours be installed further forward?

I picked up the Sierra Detector Stand which is made to mount forward of the box. It just seem a little awkward to me. I wanted it mounted at the end of the rod behind the box like you did, but then it's in the way of the battery door. I haven't actually put it on out for field test, just at the house here and I ended up taking it back off. I guess it would be easy enough to loosen to remove or spin it top side for battery access, but it just seem awkward. Maybe I'm just not used to detector stands.

Takes about 3 seconds to take off, the important thing for us is to keep it off the sand when we try the beaches with it,
I know what you mean about hitting the leg, but it doesn't really seem to hamper the swing at all, mind you I don't swing too far to the right anyway, like to keep a tight pattern
