Spanish Half Reale and some Relics from the farm fields

I was working the tall grass on the edge of some Colonial Era farm fields and got into a little hot spot.
Pulled a taco folded half Reale, skeleton key, early 1800's button and what looks like a broken watch winder key. I decided to unfold and flatten out the Reale the best I could.
I can't make out the full date on the Reale but I can see what looks like 17 * 4. I believe it's a Carlos III 1759-88 but I'm not really sure to be honest.
These fields have been plowed and fertilized for hundreds of years so most finds are bent, broken and corroded. This is the first whole, un-cut Reale I've found.

Kinda makes one wonder whether it's previous owner had tried to "make change" by attempting to cut the Reale in half...gave up and decided to just leave a "tip".

I was wondering the same thing. Why would somebody bend it in half, almost to the point of breaking it ... but still keep it all together?

I'm pretty sure it was folded by a plow blade. It's not unusual to find bent / tacoed coins in the farm fields around here. The skeleton key was broken by the plow as well.
