I use the Digisearch 180 meter from Minelab but it is the only one that I have used. There are a few others.
 
try hunting in full discrimination in that old park. dig any signal you get that pinpoints in the same spot i all-metal. you will be surprised by the number of good targets you will get. of course you lose the gold and nickles but it beats leaving.

The digital meter does help alot. It will keep you from digging so many pulltabs but you do it at the risk of losing some gold rings.
