Sovereign Elite coil

Just picked up a cheap Elite, all working order but Tornado coil cable coating is practically non existent. Knew this before I bought it, any recommendations for replacement coil, will only be used on my clean sites.

Outer sheath gone through in places, coil apparently works as is, but may as well replace it whilst funds allow.

Short of sending it to Minelab, the cable can be replaced. There are some posts about how to do it. I'll do some searching and see if I can find them to link here.

The original repair thread is missing. There is a URL to the original repair post in the thread below, but would have to go through the internet "wayback machine" to find it and, unfortunately, most of the times I go to the "wayback machine" for old Findmall posts, the images are gone.
Try this thread:

Thank you, that's helpful.

Repaired many over the years, have never had to redo any for I used a quality 4 lead cable. And i do advise to keep them well sprayed with 303 AreoSpace spray. I no longer repair them but will advice if needed.
