Sovereign battery pack swollen?

Ted S

Well-known member
I have some property stakes to find and figured I would get the Sovereign out due to its depth capability and all metal mode. I charged the battery pack a few days ago. I had problems trying to close the batter door and figured the pack may have swollen. I left the door partially open and cranked the machine up. It worked just fine! I feel the Sovereign is better than my Equinox 900 for this job. Anyone else have this problem?? Thanks! Ted

I think the battery pack for the Sovereign is bad if it is swelled up, but I myself woulnt leave it in the Sovereign when not in use as it may start leaking.
I have a extra Sovereign XS2 for a spare or maybe see if I can do some mod to make it lighter. The person I got it has a different battery set up as it has 3 of the 3.7 volt set up and use my reg charger and it seem like it work good for the little I used it. I know there was site that made battery with the 10- 1.2 volts rechargeable for the Sovereigns that were excellent, but the demand slow down and not sure if they still make them.

Good to hear you still have a Sovereign as once you know it you keep one for a backup.
