Soon to be F75 owner...

Hi Rick, I chose the 5" DD because I intend to do some prospecting with my F75.

Most goldfields are heavily mineralised, and DD "widescan" coils are much quieter when the mineralisation is high.
Also I like DD coils, IMHO they are better at target separation than the concentrics

I appreciate the great pinpointing ability of the concentrics when coin hunting,
but target isolation amongst iron, and prospecting capability are the most important requirement for me right now.

I hope you went with the 5"! I've had both of them and by far I like the 5" coil better than the little football one. It may just be the soil here, but the DD coils on a VLF machine are the way to go here.
 
I haven't been out in the dirt with my 5" DD yet Daniel....
