Soon to be F75 owner...

Mole

New member
Hi all, I started out detecting back in 1981 with a Fisher 555D...
Found my first nugget with that beautiful machine !!!

I discovered the new Fisher F75, and I LIKE WHAT I SEE !!!

When I saw that Dave Johnson was involved, plus read all the great reviews and posts, I had to get me an F75!
I now have my F75 on order, and hope to be swinging it within a few days.

I have ordered it with a 5" DD as well...

I've watched the Official F75 videos ( Streak & Slim ) on Youtube, plus various other videos like SC Digger, and Metal Detecting America videos...

Time to get my hands on one I reckon... :detecting:

Catch ya later;

Mole...

Wow, I am jealous. I came into the Fisher family late, with a CZ3d, then a used F70. I really would like to have an F75, but have put it into the "some day" category.
I have the elliptical small coil for the F70 and I love it. The entire detector seems to weigh nothing. You can swing it all day and it finds stuff. I like the fact I can
shove the tip of it down in the hole and pinpoint with the coil. Keep us posted you can only make me want want a little more.

HH, Don

Welcome aboard and let us know how you do. The F 75 really is a prety remarkable detector. With it, there is no such thing as a "hunted out site." Good luck and HH jim tn

Keep us posted on your finds......

ironically, the 75 was much maligned when it was first introduced because of the fast processor, and other nuances concerning it's field operation..after considerable time in the field hunters realized that once LEARNED,it has become the premier coin and relic "sniper" in the industry!..as others have fondly attested,it is truly an "amazing" tool for the serious hobbyist!

Say it again Jmaryt !!!!!!!!!

Thanks Don, Jim, and Elton ! :)

I am really keen to get started with the F75.... :detecting:

Looks good JT, it's that fast signal processing/response that has me hoping to detect in all metal around junk...

I'm hoping not be nulled out for a quarter of my coil swing; and missing keepers that are close to iron ...

I figure there'll be signals a'plenty, __ but I'll see how I go !

I've stuck with the DD coils hoping to get the best target isolation.
I'm going to take the F75 prospecting too; __ down the line.

HH every one! :smoke:

you got it mole!..what you mentioned is precisely what makes the 75 make it happen!..for years, other detectors would "blow" good finds by "averaging" signals to adjacent crap, either aluminum,or iron!
when the 75 came on the "scene"..at least now you have a "fighting "chance to hear it all,and make a more informed digging decision!..the "real" advantage is,ya got "separation" AND "depth"!....i tell ya,it makes AWORLD OF DIFFERENCE,and really is keeping a lot of the older experienced hunters IN the hobby, because you are virtually "opening" up just about everywhere you have hunted before!
what's NOT to like?..best of luck with it!

in addendum!..as tom dankowski would put it!.."how do you know what you are missing?..,IF you don't even know it is there"?..well!..the 75 now DOES know it's there!.

hi elton!
believe!..believe!..believe!..it's turned all of us into "fanatics" once again!..my profound thanks to mr.dave johnson and crew!

Now ya got me really excited...:fisher::hot::fisher:

you are welcome!..it truly is a wonderful detector!..kicks a**!

Jmaryt,
tell ya what I'd like to see for the F75 _______________________________ down the line....

What about a 10" by 6" DD coil, it would be great for prospecting, also for general detecting as well !!!:detecting:

It would put out a tight narrow field, maybe further enhance target isolation...

And probably get you closer to steel poles; and wire mesh fences too !

The little 5" coil should be a killer in the tot lots as well.:tongue:

the three coil selection presently available allows usage under just about every field condition imaginable, however the size you mentioned would certainly be welcomed in my view!

I've got a few YouTube videos on there as well with the F-75.

"tnbackroads" is the name there.

Now I think my good wife is going to be getting me a new "hat cam" for my birthday next month. At least that's the hint I got because she wont let me buy it for myself and she keeps saying "you never let me get you anything good...you always buy it yourself". So if I get that new camera, there will be a BUNCH more videos forth coming. Right now my camera only records in .mov format...and there just ain't any good video editing software for that format video. It is a lot of work to even get short clips out. The other camera records in .avi format....VERY easy to find freeware software to edit the clips with.

There's a lot I've learned on the F-75 in the last couple years that I want to show folks to help them in the field. As far as I'm concerned, to date it is the best VLF metal detector on the market.

Serious Question: Is the Safari a better unit with "all the frequencies?" I'm stuck which unit is better. I'm sure you have examined both carefully. Your advice would be appreciated.

This is my 2nd post

The F-75 is a great detector. If you are new to detecting, than you need to do a lot of research. Get a detector that fits your needs. The F-75 is mine kind of detector, but may not be yours. Yes, it is the best detector out there/:thumbup::beers:

Seriously, a more simple unit might be more to your liking. If you are in to relics, this is your detector. Also everybody has the best detector. Just ask them.

Good man Daniel Tn,
I will be seeking out your videos for sure; I've got my fingers crossed for you getting your hat cam !!! :smoke:

Mole: I to will birth a new F75. I had a choice between the 4 x 6 or 5' coil. Which did you prefer??? and Why?

Congrat on your new system. If you have any good sites for instruction, please send me an email: info@missionlink.org. Peace...rick
