Someone stole my Deus remote and WS5 headphones.

A friend of mine here close to me in Alabama had the same thing happen. He works in mobile and someone stole his ws5 headphones from his truck. They did not take his remote though ... That sucks pretty bad knowing what those cost. You may have to get a fanny pack to throw your expensive items in and wear them in the field with you.

You can keep checking craigslist because stolen stuff ends up there quite often or the Pawn Shops but pretty much you need to write it off.
I was fishing one time and my wife went back to the car and forgot to lock the door. They stole my other fishing gear her purse and her expensive watch. We reported it to the Police but they told us check the local trash cans to see if they just threw her purse in there but there wasn't much they could do about it. What it does is just teaches you to trust no one and made me more alert to my surroundings.

Not sure what type of area you were in but go back and check the neighborhood right around where you were parked/detecting. There is a good chance someone has a doorbell camera or outside cameras. More than once we were able to develop suspect information by watching footage. If you find a camera get the address and give it to the police. Chances are the goofball is known to them.
