Some silver and a humongous steel ring......:detecting:

I was able to get out for about 4 and a half hours today. Finished hunting the park I had been hunting for a few outings. I was able to pull a huge steel ring by the swingsets that came in as a penny. The huge steel ring has a 13 inside of it , which I assume is the size of it. At first I wasn't even sure if it was a ring, but after I washed it off I realized it was and that it wasn't silver.:sadwalk: Still a good find none the less!! I also found that Cat Cartoon pendant ( can't remember his name) at the 1st park. After finishing the 1st park I decided to go and hunt a park across the street. I only got to hunt under and around 1 of the climbing things, but I was able to find a Sterling piece of a bracelet!!! :bouncy: It came up as a dime and was just below the surface. When I first pulled it out I didn't even pay any attention to it because the 250 was acting up because of all the money around:rolleyes:, but I eventually got the ace to a safe spot and was able to look at my find. That's when I realized it was silver!! I was, unfortunately, unable to locate the other half of it today, but hopefully tommorrow I will be able to find it.

In all I was able to find 84 coins totaling $7.39,and a bell?. Dad was able to find $1.39, 7 wheaties, and a Military coin with "Sergeant Farmer" written on it.

The pics show my coins, cat pendant, bell?, silver bracelet piece ( sorry about only having a photo of the 925, but by the time I realized this my camera batteries had died), and giant steel ring. Nothing has been cleaned yet. Enjoy, HH!!

Nice hunt Roscue! You killed the old man today. What are you doing with your loot?

I really enjoy watching you guys find these things and the joy it brings. I've been detecting for over 20 years and I sometimes forget what got me interested in the first place - the simple joy of a simple activity, quiet time spent afield, out and about. Thanks for the reminder.

We're just putting all the clad in the tumbler and then putting them in glass jars, one for every denomination. If its foriegn or some type of a token then my dad will usaully put it in his coin collection. Sometimes he asks to put some of my finds in his collection, which he labels as mine. Toy cars are cleaned and put on a shelf in the garage, unless they're mine. Precious metals are put in a locked cabinet, unless they're mine. My interesting finds go in wooden chests that I got from Mexcico a few years back.

I just tossed out 20 years worth of "interesting finds" - emptied the box. The stuff really piles up. I was amazed at the many different bullets I had found.
