Im in the same boat, going to hold off buying till the new fisher is out. Ive never owned a fisher, but reading the fisher forums where Dave J comes on line and chats, comments, an actually listens to what people have to say impresses the heck out of me, so I recon its worth waiting for.

I'm a relic hunter, I want depth, depth & more depth. I want to scrape things off of a persons feet living in China when I dig it up. I want a detector that can handle red clay. I want a detector that doesn't lie about deep iron. I want a dead on ground balance. I've been hunting with a CZ for about ten years, I'm spoiled about depth. It will take an awesome machine to to replace Dave J's CZ detectors.
