Some Good CTX Info

+1 what Roland said!

I stumbled upon Sergie's site when I first started detecting, then went back after I got my ctx 3030. There is some good info there for sure, however, to say people here aren't helpful or don't put out much effort in helping others in simply not correct. When it comes to info and help on the CTX, findmall.com is my go to place for info and help, period. People like Randy (Digger), Gatekeeper, Guvner and far too many others to even keep track of have been so much help and put in so much effort in helping others, not because they have to, but because they want to, its in their nature to be helpful! Just check out the forums here closer, do some searching, read the resource center and watch the videos, I could put a book together just from the information I have gathered on this website regarding the ctx. It's great there is other information out there, but it's not fair or correct to make a statement that members here are not helpful.

I read a comment above somewhere from sergie's site about using the ctx in auto sensitivity mode , saying that auto sensitivity is just a little bit better than the recommended sensitivity, where I hunt it is extremely mineralized soil, I can watch my sensitivity drop from 25 to 12 within a few feet of each other in places and have done so recently, the recommended sensitivity was at 5 and I was running at least double that plus 2 or 3.

It's fine to point out information about our hobby and machines but before you make a blanket comment about people here not being helpful, do your research first. You don't want to pee on the fireman. Happy Hunting all.
