Some BIG changes coming for me this year...............

America is run today, think China or South America for cheap labor, why pay a American when you can pay a billion other workers over seas much less and they are lining up for the jobs!

How do we fix this, i'm not sure, the American public as a whole are like feeding fish at Wal Mart and all the rest, go cheap is the cry, so be it!

One of the major companies we supply parts to made $230 million profit last year but still is pulling stakes and heading to Mexico to make even more money. Pretty soon we will be crossing the boarder into Mexico to get jobs instead of them coming here. Greed is a terrible thing.
 
I'd send ya this good luck charm but you can see the shoe should be the other way so the luck dosn't run out and this one just about out of luck.
 
It all depends on what I go to school for. I will do the Ebay thing for extra money on the side. I want to start something but no sure what. I'll keep ya posted. TELL BEV I SAID HI!

Steelcase is making big bucks but the main stock holders want more I guess so I'm sure they will move it out of the U.S. You are right about them wasting money. They spend millions on the stupidest things. You know what I'm talking about. We'll survive one way or another.

have them take out INCOME TAXES so you don't get stuck with in a few Months with a lot of money! You mite even have EXTRA taken out if you think you will have to pay anyway---My Son In Law had that happen to him 7-8 weeks ago---His Co. moved to Nova Scoca--He could have went but they did not!--He received $10,000 and most is GONE now!--I had that Happen to me TWICE--Both times with I.P.I received NOTHING but a kick in the ass--I only received $370 a Mo. Retirement for (22) years-First time here at home--I transfered to the Eugene Or. area and that lasted less than 3 years then they sold to another company that Did NOT want any of the current workers--We could put in a NEW Hire but I felt if I had to do that I was coming back home to live--Found a job with a chain grocery store called Fred Meyers as a Janitor--Then I moved to my current job in a School--When I got old they did what they had to do TO MAKE me Retire--I was Forced out--I was told by the Superintendent I would be Fired If I did not Work my ass off--I felt I was doing a good job as I had a LOT more work assigned to me than BOTH of the other Janitors---My Boss told me I was Doing a Great job but he could not do a dam thing to help me because if he did he would lose his job--So I NEVER brought that up in any of the meetings as It would have done NO good to say anything--That is why I took my retirement!!---When something like this happens its like getting hit in the gut my a mule!!!I know I am fighting depression and I bet you are too---Like me you will find something but it may not be something you like------------------I would look very HARD at a move to Miller Lumber if a job is offered as it is only a days drive to Michigan and if both are on the same cell phone Co. you can talk anytime for FREE!
 
At least they gave you a heads up. It is small consolation but at least you have a little time to make necessary decisions. Good luck, Don:thumbup:
