So who here watched last nights episode of beyond oak island.. looking for Cornwallis treasure ?? My real question is this......

How the hell do you become a metal detection expert ? The girl/woman last night couldn't have been more than 30/35 yrs of age. Do you just find an attractive girl, hand her a detector and slap the title of expert to your name ? Alot/most of the people on this site have more time in this hobby then she's been alive. I guess were all detection experts who haven't been discovered yet. Oh and by the way she and her partner were hunting with Nox 800"s in the water..... wondered if they leaked?? (sic)

Thats my rant for today.. Cheers. Mark ( ohio )

They gotta do something to boost ratings!

I have never watched more than a few minutes. That so called reality show has very little to do with reality Those shows are Cheap to make and they rake in the money They have to keep coming up with something to keep peoples attention since there is no greassure to be found.

They give treasure hunting a bad name

Haven't watched for some time. What happen to Gary Drayton ? Now he's an expert.(n)

The camera zooms to the cast members faces when someone says anything remotely possibly halfway exciting along with the dramatic soundtrack….there’s more reality to old Star Trek re-runs than anything in that show/series/spin-offs. It very much gives metal detecting and treasure hunting a bad name. It’s an insult to those who really work hard at all of this, it really is. Every one of those grifters should be embarrassed, but grifters don’t know what shame is.
”A rusty bolt? Found near Lot 7 adjacent to the crooked tree next to the average size rock where the rusty nut was found? Could it be that the bolt and nut came from a hinge to a treasure chest?”
Like I said before…the narrator for Oak Island is the same narrator for Ancient Aliens. You be the judge. But my opinion is that both of those shows blow ass.

I had a choice of watching last night's exciting episode, or watching grass grow...........I never realized how interesting it is to actually watch grass grow.

I've watched from the beginning. They started out with barley 2 pennies to pinch together. Slowly, as the money poured in they were buying heavy equipment. I'm not caught up on all the shows but the last one I had to turn off. There were 5 minute commercials every 6 to 8 minutes. Ain't having that . . I don't care IF they discover the Holy Grail of treasures. Talk about milking the dog.
