Simplex + scores CW belt buckle

My buddy and I spent the afternoon Friday detecting my youngest son's home in Carthage ,TN.
I hit a .69 caliber Minnie ball within a few minutes of arriving, and filled my finds pouch with clad. Richard, my business partner found his first civil war relic- a pristine ( and I do mean pristine ) puppy paw US belt buckle 6" deep in the side yard. Buckle is complete, all attachments are there!!!He about had a heart attack!!!
We are returning Thursday, with simplex in hand to hunt the back yard.( come on CS buckle). The town hosted both Confederate troops and union troops during the war.

Amazing piece of CW history! I would love for the buckle to talk to me about it’s travels. The stories it could tell!

A real beauty. Congrats on finding another piece of history.

YES, a big congratulations. The only ones I ever saw were found by other people. Work slow and close to the ground. Who knows what's left in those sacred grounds.

We dont find those things out my way….. nice recovery!!!!
